Why should YOU become a spiritual practitioner?

What's the point of developing spiritual awareness, skills, and other talents? Today, I will tell you!

For many people, spirituality is a calling. These people are often blessed with unique spiritual talents that draw them into spirituality. They experience a gentle or strong pull. Others, are met with confronting or life-changing scenarios whilst out in the world. They too, are called, and are given a reason to be present.

What can and is possible for a spiritual practitioner? The examples below are possibilities for beginner, intermediate, advanced, and expert practitioners. I do not make reference to what specific level one needs to be in order to perform the act, nor do I reference specific magickal disciplines. I do not list each and every possibility, but enough to garner a good understanding!

Divination - Understanding and perceiving potential future paths; what is most likely to occur, and how it will impact the many, or the few. Being able to briefly influence specific events that are not critical to your path's direction or incarnation. Being able to influence the non-critical events of others. Being able to divine another's true or genuine intentions. Being able to have insights into the state of being experienced by another, and the experiences that they've had accumulatively. To view places around the world, without a physical presence. To divine information about subjects that you previously were not aware of. To expand your awareness and mind with new facets, new realities, and other situations.

Impacts on Others - Being able to mitigate physical, mental/emotional, and spiritual pain of others. I.e., assisting with things like endometriosis, period pain, cramping. nausea, sickness, etc. Muscle, ligament, and tendon injuries. Speeding the recovery of dislocations, breaks, and fractures. Aiding with mitigation of chronic diseases and illnesses. Speeding the recovery from bacteria, viruses, etc. Healing spiritual wounds from past lifetimes and present. Correcting energy systems, and aiding people in their practices. Assisting others to find greater happiness, and change in their life. Being able to affect another's life experience positively and negatively*. Connecting people with passed loved ones, and other spirits. Empowering, enchanting, or otherwise producing an effect upon yourself and/or others.

*The point of this article is not to condone any specific course of action, especially those of negative impact. But to simply make people aware of what is possible.

Warfare - Being able to defend others from physical, and spiritual threats. To influence and prevent potential attack on multiple levels. Being able to provide a safe route for people out of disastrous or heart-wrenching situations. To aid and free people from oppressive situations, spiritual and otherwise. Being able to defend oneself in a negative situation.

Life Experience - Being able to experience life with heightened awareness of other facets of reality, and aspects to life. Being interconnected with more people, energies, and forces.

Spirit Work - To engage with passed loved ones, and speak to them like you would another person on Earth. Being able to work with spirits that are native and/or not native to Earth, learning, and building relationships with them of various kinds. Broadening your life experience to the plight of others; particularly other souls that exist in the Universe. To conjure, bind, and otherwise call upon specific entities in practice for various purposes (learning, teaching, relationships, interpersonal connections, spiritual workings, etc). Memory Regression - Being able to regress and assimilate information on magickal disciplines from other lifetimes and existences. Regressing your past lifetimes, past connections to other souls, and other general experiences. Dramatically increasing your repertoire of spiritual knowledge, wisdom, and other skills via the memories of the past. Being able to examine and explore the past lifetimes of others at will.

Miscellaneous - Being able to adjust body temperature at a whim. Being able to influence the thoughts, beliefs, and/or perspectives of others. To be made to appear more alluring, charismatic, or attractive to specific people and general populace. Being able to connect more deeply with people on an intimate or interpersonal level. Being able to pick up on residual energies of others, and explore memories or instances that have occurred in the past, or are yet to occur in the future. Being able to influence other people in various ways to achieve a goal or series of goal(s).
